Advocating for healthy sexuality since 2017
What is Sex Positivity?
Sex Positivity may not be a new field, but the intersection of healthcare and Sex Positivity has only been in discussion for the past handful of years.
Not only is it important to work with healthcare providers who understand your lifestyle and sexual orientation, it is also helpful to know that your providers understand and respect Sex Positivity, from a political perspective. You may never discuss sexuality issues with your child's pediatrician, but it is reassuring to know that they understand Sex Positivity, especially if a secondary partner needs to take your child to the doctor for a visit, or if you want to ask your pediatrician how to talk to your child about masturbation in a healthy way.
If Sex Positivity is important to you, it should be important to the providers who manage your healthcare, even if you never find it necessary to talk to them about it. That's why we have listings for providers like acupuncturists and massage therapists, who may seem to be in roles where sexuality or sexual orientation may not be discussed. We as healthcare providers are listed on this site so that you know your sexual identity and lifestyle choices are acknowledged and accepted by us. Please feel free to reach out if you have questions or think of any new provider types we should have listed!

Types of Healthcare Listings
Individual Counselors
Acceptance and support of a client's personal identity is a cornerstone of individual therapy. Counselors can encourage individuals to understand their true selves, whether that includes polyamory, kink, or other progressive sexual expression.
Sex Therapists
One might assume that all sex therapists are sex positive, but this is not always the case. Use this list to ensure the sex therapist you chose understands your sex positive orientation.
Marriage and family therapists
Couple and family therapists can help non-traditional relationships and families achieve improved communication and connection, regardless of what a relationship or family looks like.
Primary care providers and General Practice Physicians
Family physicians are often the first resource for patients looking for accurate advice on sexual health.
Massage therapists
Many kinky people engage in needle or edge play where marks or welts are left on the body.
Allied Professionals
Sex positivity doesn't end at the doctor's office. We offer listings of progressive professionals who understand and support modern relationships and sexuality, such as financial advisors and family lawyers.
